1. General Agreement By renting equipment from KR Camera Rental, you (“Renter”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. You confirm that you are at least 18 years old and possess a valid government-issued ID.

2. Rental Period

  • The rental period begins at the time of pickup or delivery and ends when the equipment is returned to our facility.

  • Late Returns: Equipment returned after the agreed-upon time will incur a late fee equivalent to the full daily rental rate for each day late.

3. Responsibility for Equipment

  • The Renter assumes full responsibility for the equipment upon possession.

  • Damage: If the equipment is damaged during the rental period, the Renter agrees to pay for the cost of repair. If the item is irreparable, the Renter must pay the full replacement cost.

  • Loss/Theft: In the event of theft or loss, the Renter is liable for the full replacement value of the equipment.

4. Deposits and Insurance

  • We may require a security deposit or a credit card hold before releasing high-value equipment.

  • We strongly recommend Renters obtain insurance to cover rented gear.

4.1. Security Deposit or On-Site Technician Requirement

For certain high-value or specialized equipment, KR Camera Rental may require the Renter to choose one of the following options before equipment is released:

Option A – Security Deposit:
The Renter may provide a refundable security deposit equal to the full replacement value of the rented equipment. The deposit will be returned upon the timely return of the equipment in the same condition as it was rented, subject to inspection by KR Camera Rental.

Option B – On-Site Technician:
Instead of providing a full-value security deposit, the Renter may hire a KR Camera Rental technician to accompany and supervise the use of the equipment during the rental period. Technician fees are charged separately and must be paid in advance. The availability of technicians is subject to scheduling and approval by KR Camera Rental.

KR Camera Rental reserves the right to determine which equipment requires a security deposit, an on-site technician, or both, based on the value, complexity, or risk associated with the rental.

This requirement does not limit the Renter’s responsibility for loss, theft, damage, or misuse of the equipment as outlined in these Terms and Conditions.

5. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made 24 hours prior to the rental start date will receive a full refund.

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the rental cost.

6. Condition of Equipment We test all gear before it leaves our shop. The Renter must examine the equipment upon receipt and notify us immediately of any defects. Failure to do so implies the equipment was received in good working order.
