Description

The original Atomos Shogun V1 is a professional 7-inch touchscreen field monitor and external recorder designed to provide high-quality recording and monitoring from compatible HDMI and SDI cameras.

Originally introduced as a professional 4K external recorder, the Shogun V1 can record compatible camera signals in Apple ProRes and Avid DNx formats, while also supporting selected RAW workflows. It accepts HDMI and 4K SDI inputs and provides professional monitoring tools including waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope, focus peaking, zebra, and 3D LUT support.

The Shogun V1 is particularly useful for productions that want to bypass a camera’s internal recording limitations and capture a high-quality editing codec directly from the camera.

7.1″ Professional Touchscreen

The Shogun V1 features a 7.1-inch 1920 × 1200 SuperAtom IPS touchscreen with a Rec.709 color standard.

The large display provides significantly more viewing area than a typical camera LCD, making it useful for checking focus, exposure, framing, and image quality during production.
