ARRI 1.2K HMI
Professional Daylight: Standard color temperature of 5600K-6000K, ideal for balancing with natural light.
High Intensity: 1200W HMI power delivers powerful light, equivalent to 5000W-6000W Tungsten lamps.
Fresnel Quality: The 7-inch Fresnel lens provides flexible beam control (Spot/Flood) with ARRI’s characteristic uniform light quality.
True Blue System: ARRI’s True Blue modular design (like the D12) offers high structural durability, corrosion resistance, and larger handles for easy accessory mounting.
Modern Ballast: Uses a Flicker-Free electronic Ballast, often featuring DMX 512 capability and a High Speed mode (1000Hz) for high-speed cinematography.
Description
1. Irreplaceable Light Quality:
- The ARRI D12 HMI is famous for its ability to create a strong, crisp beam of light, which can be softened by a diffuser (softbox) or scrim. The Spot-to-Flood capability allows the operator to precisely control the beam’s spread.
- Daylight (HMI): The most powerful light source for exterior shots or when high-intensity light penetration through windows is needed.
2. Durable Mechanical Design (True Blue Series):
- Cooling System: True Blue models feature a new cross-cooling system, reducing lamp housing and lens temperature, extending equipment life, and increasing safety during use.
- Construction: Uses corrosion-resistant cast and extruded aluminum, providing excellent structural durability and weather resistance (typically IP23 or IP54).
- Accessory Management: Improved tilt lock with disc brake securely locks the light, even when heavy accessories like Chimera Softboxes are attached.
3. Professional Electronic Ballast:
- Flicker-Free: Modern electronic ballast ensures stable, flicker-free light, ideal for all standard frame rates.
- DMX/AutoScan: The ballast usually includes DMX for remote control and an AutoScan function to optimize lamp frequency.
- Flexible Use: The 575/1200W ballast allows users to flexibly interchange lamp heads.
